F is for Favorite Things

I finally got my netbook back up and running! Or...should I say Rob got my netbook up and running.  You know, if I'm being honest and all.  Since I've been so busy at work all week (especially today!), it's been next to impossible for me to spend any time blogging, except for the occasional comment via my iPhone.  I have missed you all!

But we're back in business now, kids.

And since this post is dedicated to Mrs. Matlock's weekly class and today's letter is F, let's talk about a few of my favorite things, shall we? We shall!

Favorite Food:

It is the staple of my diet.  Hence my full-figuredness.  I'll eat it in just about any form.  I'm addicted to pasta and I'm not afraid to admit it.

Speaking of pasta, has anyone seen this?

I want.

Favorite Movie:

Hands down.  Forever and ever.  Amen.

Favorite Group:

Queen.  Again, hands down.  I love them so much.  All of them.  It's amazing to me how I can sing the lyrics to almost all of their songs without even thinking about it, but I can't remember almost any of the French I learned in 5 years of study.

Probably because so much of my brain has been taken up by Queen lyrics.

Favorite Holiday:

I live for Christmas.  Live for it.

Those are just a few of my most basic favorites.  Others include roses...beautiful cookware...Lost (I hear Rob snickering at me right now)...snowflakes...shoes...books...cheese...chocolate...

On and on and on...

Right now I'm hoping that enough snowflakes actually pile up on top of each other tonight so I don't have to go to work tomorrow (definitely NOT one of my favorite things!) and can have the opportunity to take pictures of a new recipe.  I hope, I hope, I hope!

I think schools around here might be closed tomorrow. It is quite nasty out. I'm a sucker for pasta too. I'll pretty much eat it any way.

I too love pasta, as for my wide bottom, and there is a great place in Chattanooga called Tony's and they have the most amazing home made pasta and their bread and parm.cheese and olive oil are to die for! I eat so much bread I have to take my pasta home which we all know it is better the second day! Also I used to go see GWTW ever summer at this old theater and we dressed up in long dresses and called each other by our first and middle name,s southern tradition!

Did you ever read the Strega Nona books when you were a kid? I think that might have been the beginning of my love affair with pasta. Mmmmmm.

Loved the post!

P.S. My mom has that pasta maker attachment, and she loves it! I haven't tried it yet though.

Hope you got your snow! Maybe you could try learning Queen's lyrics in French? Maybe it would stick, then?

It was fun getting to know you a little bit better! I'm wondering what the Williams Sonoma link is? Their site is blocked for me (probably because I'm not in the US) and I can never see all the amazing fabulous kitcheny gadgets!

I really like Queen too, but I didn't really appreciate them until recently. My husband is a diehard fan so that probably had something to do with it!

I'm writing for you. I'm speaking to you.

So I would like to hear from you in return. Did that story make you laugh, or think? Does that recipe look good? Do you relate to me or totally disagree?

Let me hear what YOU think!
