Wet Weekend?

Looks like we're in for a wet weekend here in good ol' South Jersey.  And the entire surrounding area.  But that's okay, because there are a ton of things that can and should be done this weekend...

...for instance, our bedroom is still not unpacked.  There are boxes everywhere.  My greatest hope is that by Sunday night, I can walk freely through the room without turning sideways and perhaps have a place to put the rest of my clothes.  A girl can dream, can't she?

...I still need to post about the dinner I made last weekend.  I posted about the tremendous, awe-inspiring cake here but have yet to finish my entry about the meal itself.  And seriously, if you're in the mood to just throw all caloric caution to the wind, make that cake.  I'm serious.  It is so worth it.  You will tearfully thank me even as your waistband tightens.

...I would like to make an Easter craft.  I don't really know how well RD will take to having an Easter wreath or something of that nature, but I guess there's only one way to find out, right?

...laundry.  'Nuff said.

...I'm hoping to perhaps buy a spring jacket at some point.  I don't have one and can't wear the same sweater every day.  It just doesn't look right.  Tonight we're going on another Date Night and hope to get a bit of shopping done afterwards.  I'll have to keep my eyes open.

...I am totally making banana bread with the plethora of overripe bananas in my kitchen.  Mmm...I can taste it now...

...relaxing.  We'll see how that goes!

Oh, I would like to state for the record that last week's Date Night did not go as planned.  That awesome Italian restaurant I found? I should have called for a reservation.  Had I tried to do so I would have discovered that they are no longer in existence.  Which we found out as we drove up to a darkened building.  Don't you hate it when your tastebuds are all set for something and you end up disappointing them?

What do you Company Girls have in store this weekend? Whatever it is and whatever the weather, I hope you enjoy it!

We're in for a BEAUTIFUL weekend after a real cold snap here in Denver. Tomorrow we're taking the dogs up to the mountains for some snow-shoeing and some fellowship with friends (and other dogs). I am really looking forward to it :)

Yeah for Date Nights! And if you're in South Jersey, you are "close" to my brother and his wife - they're in Wilmington, DE. Hope you enjoy the rainy weekend.

Hi, Jen--
Your list is way too long for me! But I wish you luck. :)
I will be doing laundry, writing, and having friends over for dinner. My house will not be perfect, but they are friends, right?
Thanks for visiting. Happy weekend!

Put relaxing up at the top of your list. =) My girl is a bit of a wuss (and I like her that way haha) so I don't think she'll be going in the ball pit. I've only been in one of those once in my life and it is hard to get out. It's been pouring the whole entire day so far. I do like the rain for an excuse to stay home in my PJs but we're going to be out all weekend, so hoping to stay dry!!

Thanks for stopping by and visiting Linderhof. I like your list -- and date nights are important! As to laundry, I think clean clothes in the closet hop in the laundry hamper at night while we're asleep -- where else do the pile of clothes come from -- certainly not from us!!!!! We can't wear that many clothes!

I blame you for any calories I gained just by going and looking at the picture of the cake. WOW! :) Have a great weekend!

We are in for a rainy weekend as well. HOWEVER, we have no plans which is thrilling! We may get the oil changed and hubby is doing a few honey do's even as we speak! I am just hoping to work in a nap!

Sorry about your last date night, maybe this one will go better!

Aw, that stinks about the restaurant. What did you do instead? I hope it was a good plan B.

Hope your weekend goes well and that the unpacking gets done to your liking.

I take it the cake did not come from a Pillsbury box? I will have to check out your link next. :)

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love new visitors because that means I get to visit someone new in return! :)

I can relate to the closed restaurant. We had a date night not too long ago and our favorite restaurant was closed for re-modeling. We settled for a different Italian one down the street. Luckily, it's back up and running again now.

Hope your date night went better last night. We have one coming up next weekend. Dinner and a comedian with friends. I'm looking forward to a good laugh with great company!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Thanks everyone for stopping by! The date was WONDERFUL - we just popped into a place we pass by every single day. And lo and behold, it happened to be a place that was owned by the same owners of a restaurant I ADORE! The menu was very, very similar and everything was totally delicious. After that, we shopped a I got a spring jacket and an adorable dress that I've had my eye on for ages. More than anything, though, we got to spend time together. And that was the best part!

We've had a very wet weekend here, too, and I've actually gotten TONS of writing done. It's been so great and it's been a long time since I've been able to just WRITE...
Oh how disappointing about the Italian restaurant... I know what you mean. Hopefully you can find a new place for your next date night. =)

I'm writing for you. I'm speaking to you.

So I would like to hear from you in return. Did that story make you laugh, or think? Does that recipe look good? Do you relate to me or totally disagree?

Let me hear what YOU think!
