Summer dreams...

Imagine my surprise last night when I stepped into the backyard and - GASP! - the snow was all gone! I could have danced.  I could have sang.  I could have danced and sang.

Instead of making a fool of myself in what was sure to be mud (no way that much snow melts and doesn't leave mud), I sat down on the computer chair which is currently chilling out by the patio door and took a deep breath.  The stars were out, it was a beautiful night.  I wasn't even wearing a coat.  And all around me were trees and grass and other nature-y things.  It was marvelous.

Rob came out after a few moments (annoucing that Dad went to bed - whew, quiet time can start now) and we talked about what we'd like to do with the yard.  As I think I've stated previously, Rob is DYING to get a grill.  He's been lamenting his inability to grill outdoors since I met him.  And that was 4 years ago.  So there's all this pent-up grilling energy lying dormant.

Clearly, something needs to be done about this.  I can't have my husband exploding because he couldn't grill a steak.

We also talked about the possibility of purchasing a table and chairs so we can dine al fresco.  We'll have to see about prices...

...(later, after researching prices and rocking back and forth in the fetal position with thumb stuck in mouth)...

Okay, maybe a grill AND furniture just aren't happening this year.  No biggie.

Still, I really like this set @ Sam's Club...
And while we're at it, this is a nice grill...
We could use these lights for the path going up the driveway and the walk in the front...

Oooh...planters...

I have ALWAYS wanted one of these...I imagine it with vines creeping up and over top...

And don't even get me STARTED on my garden ideas!

Wow, where was I again?

Oh yeah.  I was trying to be responsible with money.

Sigh.

I can really feel you on the garden and adding to things to spruce up and make beautiful. I love the chairs and table you picked though. So very pretty looking. Enjoy the warmer weather I know I am!

I'm writing for you. I'm speaking to you.

So I would like to hear from you in return. Did that story make you laugh, or think? Does that recipe look good? Do you relate to me or totally disagree?

Let me hear what YOU think!
