For me it's all about short cuts.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8119298184645519490.post-21484952695240885172010-11-22T14:19:17.544-05:002010-11-22T14:19:17.544-05:00Appetizer ideas -

Yum! And then come Sat., use your favorite cold chicken salad recipe substituting your leftover turkey for the chicken. ;-)

Brian and I were the eldest child in both of our families AND the first ones to get married. Then it worked out that my siblings all married the eldest child in their spouses families as well. Therefore, our started tradition of alternating Thanksgiving and Easter between the two families was able to continue. This year we are with my side of the family. On my side, everybody 'signs up' to bring part of the meal. I am doing the pies. But over all, we are having Turkey (last time we also had stuffed, rolled Pork loin wrapped with strips of bacon - delicious!!), mashed potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, the canned version of jelled cranberries, stuffing, can't remember what else. I needed a break and it was either simplify this year, or everyone was getting turkey sandwiches. LOL

The rice question you asked... We can't tell any difference between freshly steamed jasmine rice, or reheated after frozen and thawed rice! :) It tastes great. I think it might have to do with the way I cook it... maybe steaming keeps it flavorful? Or maybe it's just the type of rice. Jasmine is our very favorite! Hope it helps you.

Blessings,
SashaLemonade Makin' Mamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16404173701815078504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8119298184645519490.post-12804782461390229072010-11-20T21:02:55.428-05:002010-11-20T21:02:55.428-05:00We can't wait!
